why not sell 12800 mm2 instead of 80x160mm, it would allow to change or
choose the shape of the pcb,
if that is not possible please make the useable area visible as a grey
retangle or dotted frame
cheers James

In my copy of Eagle the board outline is shown when the board editor
starts. It is a thin line on the "Dimension" layer.

People have been talking about this one for quite a while it would seem. I'm
currently using Eagle Freeware for a college project and am very
disappointed with maximum board size. 150mm x 75mm seems to be a fairly
standard size PCB that can easily be made at home and fits into most
project boxes. Eagle Light is unable to meet standard board sizes and
purchasing Eagle Standard is so expensive it's out of the question (even
with the non-profit license).

Making the useable are visible would be useful, sometimes I want to move a
component temporarily off the PCB but can't because I'm not sure where the
PCB ends in relation the useable area. Placing multiple components on top
of each other becomes a pain to select the desired component.
